How you can help

Can you help build a Giving Nation?

When we could support schools financially, we invested £50 in every school class that took part.

Every £50 we invested in young people generated a whopping £272 for charitable causes and community projects.

During the 2013/14 academic year Giving Nation received £230,000 of investment. This generated £830,670 for charities and the voluntary sector.

But we can’t do this alone.

We don’t just teach about charity: the Citizenship Foundation is a charity. Our funding for Giving Nation ended and we now need more support to help schools continue to build great social action projects.

We help young people make a real difference to their communities

Our outcomes speak for themselves
  • Since 2007, Giving Nation has supported over 315,000 young people to become active citizens.

  • In the last year alone, these community champions have supported 618 different charities locally, nationally and internationally.

  • In 2014, Giving Nation participants spent 209,467 hours volunteering outside of school to support causes they care about. That’s the equivalent of 5 people volunteering full time for 25 years!

  • In the 7 years since we started, our participants have donated an incredible £1.7million to the causes they care about.

With your support, we can keep giving valuable social experiences to the next generation of active citizens. Donate online, or contact us to find out how you can help.
