Who we are
Giving Nation is a project of the Citizenship Foundation that builds a culture of giving amongst young people aged 11 to 16.
Running since 2004, we encourage, support and celebrate young people's effort to help others through curriculum-initiated social action.
Social action enables young people to gain the confidence and knowledge they need to play a full and active role in public life. Giving Nation provides young people with the opportunity to develop and participate in social action projects. This gives young people an understanding of UK charities and an appreciation of the world beyond themselves.
Through this active-learning programme students develop skills such as advocacy, campaigning and teamwork.

Giving Nation enables students to build closer ties within their school as well as the wider community as students enact change around issues that matter to them.
We provide free curriculum teaching and learning resources, ideas and inspiration to get your social action projects off the ground.
Get inspired. Get active. Get involved.
